We went to see Cavalia last night in Portland and oh, what a wonderful show it is!! I recommend that you see it if you like horses at all and can still get tickets. The beauty and grace were just awesome!
Cavalia!
December 22nd, 2011Is Christmas REALLY this Sunday???
December 22nd, 2011I have no idea how it came to pass that Christmas is only four days away. Besides that, it’s way too close to 2012. Time seems to be accelerating while I seem to be decelerating! Thankfully, I’m ready for Christmas earlier than usual. With no children at home, and no one coming this year, I’ve saved a ton of time, plus no cooking, since I’ll be at a hotel.I got all of my shopping done in beautiful, downtown McMinnville and relaxed afterwards with a lovely glass of Pinot Noir. There’s a long-term guest at the rental, so I am “footloose and fancy-free into January.” I might just have to do this EVERY year!

Spring in McMinnville
April 30th, 2009Spring in the Willamette Valley often follows the old saying: “April showers bring May flowers.” This year April was full of showers and the May flowers are already showing. The weather is starting to warm up (long sleeves instead of full coats!) and we are planting the vegetable garden that we harvest for our guest breakfasts! It’s an exciting time for innkeepers as well as the vineyard managers in Oregon Wine Country
