As part of our continuing evolution, we have opened a Thrift and Gift store at our Inn. All The Best has seasonal and everyday gift items at prices that you can afford, even in this difficult economic climate. The store is open Wed-Mon from 11 to 6. We may be upstairs preparing rooms for guests so please ring the bell and be patient. Stop by our store next time you are in McMinnville.

Spring in McMinnville
April 30th, 2009Spring in the Willamette Valley often follows the old saying: “April showers bring May flowers.” This year April was full of showers and the May flowers are already showing. The weather is starting to warm up (long sleeves instead of full coats!) and we are planting the vegetable garden that we harvest for our guest breakfasts! It’s an exciting time for innkeepers as well as the vineyard managers in Oregon Wine Country
May -
April 30th, 200915 & 16 Fri & Sat – UFO Festival – a small-town festival that started 10 years ago; any excuse for a parade! Some come for the serious seminars and some for the aluminum foil helmets. Check out the official website ( www.ufofest.com ) for more details and make your reservations with us soon!
22 Fri – Give A Little – a charity event for a very worthy local charity I am excited about. Read about it in my previous post here
28 Thurs – Farmers Market – A vibrant and growing venue to get fresh produce and gifts. Everything is produced by the seller. If you’re in McMinnville on Thursday afternoon spend an hour or two just 3 blocks from our Inn and see what the local farms have to offer.
Give A Little May Event
April 23rd, 2009Own a Piece of the Middle Ages, a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization Give a Little, will be held Friday May 22 from 5:30-9 pm at the McMinnville Grand Ballroom (325 NE 3rd St.).
We at Baker Street support this event as a fun, informative and helpful use of our charitable contributions. We hope to see everyone there; friends and guests of the inn.
Remember there is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end. ~ Scott Adams
